Scurvy is a debuff that can affect your crew members. There are three stages of the condition. At Rank 1, it is harmless. At Rank 2, the disease causes a temporary stat loss—these stats are regained upon reducing the disease back to Rank 1 or removing the debuff entirely. At Rank 3, the disease can lead to death of your crew member by bleeding.
Scurvy is a real-life disease that has historically affected many pirates, caused by a deficiency in vitamin C.
How does the disease spread?[ | ]
Scurvy is caused when a pirate hasn't recently eaten food with Vitamins.
Identifying Scurvy[ | ]
To find out if any crew members have Scurvy, you must bring up the spacebar menu. Near the life bars of the afflicted will be a dark brown icon of a shield with a downwards arrow.
Removing Scurvy[ | ]
This disease can be cured with consumables that contain Vitamins, such as Watermelon, Citrus, or Fruits.
